What to Expect on the Day
To ensure a smooth and efficient photography session, a few practical details are important to consider in advance.
Timing & Property Size
If the photographer meets the owner or tenant on-site, please allow sufficient time for both photography and floor plan measurements.
As a general guide:
- Properties up to 1,000 sq ft typically take around 1 hour
- Each additional 1,000 sq ft may require approximately 1 extra hour
Larger properties (e.g. 5,000 sq ft) may require 4–5 hours to complete.
Access for Measurements
For accurate floor plans, it is important that:
- All doors can be opened
- Built-in wardrobes are accessible
This allows measurements to be taken wall-to-wall.
Lighting Preference
Before the session, please confirm whether you prefer:
- lights on
- lights off
- or a combination
This helps ensure a consistent style throughout the property.
Permission to Adjust the Space
If the owner or tenant will not be present, please confirm whether the photographer is allowed to:
- adjust small items
- refine positioning
- make minor styling improvements
This helps achieve the best possible results.
Photography Style
Where possible, please indicate your preferred style:
- Wide-angle (approx. 14mm) – maximises space and layout
- Lifestyle (approx. 24–70mm) – more natural and design-focused
